Mean times of onset for calling in Haploa clymene (Brown), Spilosoma virginica (Fabricius), Pareuchaetes insulata (Walker), Cycnia tenera (Hübner), and Euchaetes egle (Drury) advance to earlier times in the photoperiod at lower temperatures. Temperature has no apparent effect on the calling period in Pyrrharctia isabella (J. E. Smith), Spilosoma congrua Walker, and Apantesis nais (Drury). The relationship between the temperatures experienced by each of these species as adults and the response of their calling rhythms to temperature is discussed. Lights-on can elicit calling behaviour in C. tenera, although it is not an absolute requirement because calling eventually begins when lights-on is delayed 4 h and calling also begins prior to lights-on at lower temperatures. Calling periods lengthen in C. tenera and S. congrua when the scotophase is prolonged and in S. congrua after the onset of a lower photophase light intensity (40 lux), suggesting that a higher photophase light intensity (450 lux) inhibits calling and thus causes its termination.
Résumé Aux faibles températures le moment moyen de déclenchement de l'appel apparaît plus tôt au cours de la photopériode chez Haploa clymene Brown, Spilosoma virginica Fab., Pareuchaetes insulata Walk., Cycnia tenera Hübn. et Euchaetes egle Drury. La température n'a apparemment pas d'effet sur le moment où l'appel débute chez Pyrrharctica isabella J.E. Smith, S. congrua Walk. et Apantesis nais Drury.L'analyse porte sur les relations entre les températures subies par les adultes de ces espèces et leurs réactions d'appel aux différentes températures. L'apparition de la lumière peut induire le comportement d'appel chez C. tenera, bien que ce ne soit pas indispensable puisqu'il peut éventuellement commencer à des températures plus basses avant l'illumination quand celle-ci est retardée de 4 heures. Les périodes d'appel sont prolongées avec la scotophase chez C. tenera et S. congrua, et même après l'apparition d'une photophase à faible intensité lumineuse (40 lux), l'appel de S. congrua se poursuit, ce qui suggère que les photophases à intensité lumineuse plus élevée (450 lux) inhibent l'appel et ainsi en provoquent la fin.

During temporary incubation at 25°C in buffered solutions (pH 4.0) of abscisic acid (ABA) seeds of lettuce ( Lactuca sativa L. cv. Olof) lost the red-light initiated ability to germinate in buffer. The development of secondary dormancy required an inhibitory ABA content in the seeds during a number of days. A temporary incubation in ABA during 24 h met these requirements only if the solution was about 100-fold more concentrated than during continuous incubation. Studies with 2-14C-ABA showed that the amount of ABA which had penetrated in 24 h was reduced by a factor 100 within 3 to 4 days during subsequent incubation in buffer. Both leaching and metabolic changes were involved in the reduction process. The nature of the metabolic products remained obscure. A shift to 2°C after incubation in ABA prevented the induction of secondary dormancy, but inhibited ABA metabolism. ABA did not interfere with the induction rate of secondary dormancy, and it was not required to maintain the state of dormancy. The sole function of ABA was the non-specific inhibition of germination, which indirectly facilitated the development of an ABA independent secondary dormancy. – The level of endogenous ABA was compared to the amount of ABA found in the embryo during and after incubation in ABA solutions marked with 2-14C-ABA. The level of endogenous ABA in air-dry seeds (0.11 ng/mg dry weight) corresponded to the minimal level at which penetrated ABA inhibited germination. This level had to be present at least during 4 to 5 days to inhibit the effect of red light. Since endogenous ABA was quickly reduced upon imbibition, a regulatory function of endogenous ABA in the inhibition of red light induced germination can be ruled out. A function in the temporary inhibition of dark germination and, consequently, in the development of secondary light irresponsiveness cannot be excluded, however.  相似文献

RESUME. Les structures buccales de Sathrophilus vernalis Dragesco & Grolière, 1969 sont détaillées. La morphogenèse buccale de l'opisthe, semi-autonome, avec participation du scuticus et d'une cinétie postorale droite, s'accompagne d'une re-constitution de l'appareil buccal du proter. La morphologie buccale de Cyclidium sphagnetorum Šràmek-Hušek, 1949 est comparée à celles de Cyclidium citrullus Cohn, 1865 et Cyclidium glaucoma O. F. Müller, 1786. La stomatogenèse Histiobalantium majus Kahl, 1933 débute par une prolifération du scuticus vers la gauche.
SYNOPSIS. Buccal structures of Sathrophilus vernalis Dragesco & Grolière, 1969 are described. The semiautonomous buccal morphogenesis of the opisthe, involving the participation of the scuticus and the right postoral kinety, is accompanied by the reconstitution of the buccal apparatus of the proter. The buccal structure of Cyclidium sphagnetorum Šràmek-Hušek, 1949 is compared to those of Cyclidium citrullus Cohn, 1865 and Cyclidium glaucoma O. F. Müller, 1786. 活性有机质是土壤的重要组成部分 ,主要包括溶解性有机碳、微生物生物量、轻组有机质。它在土壤中具有重要作用 :(1)可以表征土壤物质循环特征、评价土壤质量 ,可以作为土壤潜在生产力以及由土壤管理措施引起土壤有机质变化的早期指标 ;(2 )在养分周转中起重要作用 ,是植物的养分库 ,可以提供植物所需要的养分如氮、磷、硫等 ;(3)能稳定土壤结构 ,对维持团粒结构稳定性有重要作用。从土壤养分、土壤物理、化学性质方面讨论了活性有机质与土壤质量的关系。土壤中的溶解性有机碳、微生物生物量碳氮含量与土壤有机碳、全氮和碱解氮等物质的含量呈正相关。活性有机质受土壤质地、含水量、温度等因素影响 ,与土壤酸碱度、阳离子交换量等也有关。土壤微生物生物量碳和微生物量 C/有机碳比与土壤粘粒、粉粒含量呈正相关、与砂粒含量呈负相关  相似文献

在塑料大棚内设置不同光照强度处理[自然光(对照)、遮光40%和遮光60%],研究遮光处理对节瓜(Benincasa hispida Cogn. var. chieh-qua How.)功能叶片光合特性的影响,结果表明节瓜叶片净光合速率(Pn)日变化呈单峰曲线,各处理在11:00达到峰值.节瓜Pn峰值随光照强度的减小而降低,叶片Pn达到峰值之前随遮光程度的增大而降低,而达到峰值之后,遮光40%处理的节瓜叶片Pn比对照高.叶片Pn的日变化幅度随遮光程度的增强而减小,叶片的光饱和点随光照强度的减小而明显降低.结果说明遮光处理通过影响环境因子和节瓜叶片生理特性等内在因素而影响其光合作用.塑料大棚内中午前后用遮光强度适宜的遮阳网覆盖,可提高节瓜功能叶片的光合能力,有利于提高产量.  相似文献

Cell-penetrating peptides (CPPs) are able to translocate problematic therapeutic cargoes across cellular membranes. The exact mechanisms of translocation are still under investigation. However, evidence for endocytic uptake is increasing. We investigated the interactions of CPPs with phospholipid bilayers as first step of translocation. To this purpose, we employed four independent techniques, comprising (i) liposome buffer equilibrium dialysis, (ii) Trp fluorescence quenching, (iii) fluorescence polarization, and (iv) determination of ζ-potentials. Using unilamellar vesicles (LUVs) of different phospholipid composition, we compared weakly cationic human calcitonin (hCT)-derived peptides with the oligocationic CPPs pVEC and penetratin (pAntp). Apparent partition coefficients of hCT-derived peptides in neutral POPC LUVs were dependent on amino acid composition and secondary structure; partitioning in negatively charged POPC/POPG (80:20) LUVs was increased and mainly governed by electrostatic interactions. For hCT(9-32) and its derivatives, D values raised from about 100-200 in POPC to about 1000 to 1500 when negatively charged lipids were present. Localization profiles of CPPs obtained by Trp fluorescence quenching were dependent on the charge density of LUVs. In POPC/POPG, hCT-derived CPPs were located on the bilayer surface, whereas pVEC and pAntp resided deeper in the membrane. In POPG LUVs, an increase of fluorescence polarization was observed for pVEC and pAntp but not for hCT-derived peptides. Generally, we found strong peptide-phospholipid interactions, especially when negatively charged lipids were present.  相似文献

运用结构植物学方法,以多脉青冈(Cyclobalanopsis multinervis)和金叶含笑(Michelia foveolata)2年生苗为材料,进行全光照处理和遮荫处理下叶结构观察比较。结果显示,长期遮荫处理下,多脉青冈和金叶含笑新生叶的表皮细胞变薄,栅栏组织变得稀疏,层数有减少趋势,海绵组织更加疏松;多脉青冈的叶角质层退化。表明长期的弱光照下,2种树种的新生叶叶结构产生了适廊性的变化,其适应程度可以推测植物对光环境变化的适应能力强弱和进化潜力,研究结果对预测园林树种的光适应能力和结构进化有一定意义。  相似文献

The hypothesis that lenticels may act as a gate for light penetration through the highly light absorptive periderm, was investigated. Yet, transmittance of isolated periderms from ten tree species was considerably higher in the non-lenticel than in the lenticel regions. Depending on species, the lower transmittance of lenticels was due to either higher reflectance and/or higher absorptance. Corticular tissue regions below lenticels were more shade acclimated. Chlorophyll fluorescence images showed lower PS II effective yields, a lower potential for non-photochemical quenching and a possibly higher risk of photoinhibition in the corticular areas under the lenticels in most of the cases.  相似文献

The long-term action of blue or red light on nitrogen metabolism was studied in radish (Raphanus sativus L.) plants. The potential activity of nitrate reductase (NR) in vivo and its maximum activity in vitro, the content of soluble protein and free amino acids were determined in the course of the growth of a third leaf of radish plants. The effect of light quality on NR activity was found to depend significantly on the stage of leaf development. Blue light (BL) stimulated NR activity in leaves, when their areas were about 11–13% of the fully developed leaves. The efficiency of red light (RL) was significantly lower, because the maximum NR activity was observed in the leaves developed to the stage, when their areas were 38–40% of the final one. The comparative analysis of the pool of free amino acids in expanding leaves of BL- or RL-grown plants revealed significant changes in the contents of individual amino acids. Despite a higher accumulation of two amino acids in the leaves of BL-grown plants, namely, Asp (27% as compared to 13–16% in the RL-grown leaves) and Gly (5% against 2.5% in RL-grown leaves), the BL-grown leaves also demonstrated a significant decrease in Ala (10% as compared to 23% in the RL-grown leaves) and some decrease in the amounts of Ser and Gly. The content of soluble protein in a juvenile BL-grown leaf was observed to decrease gradually during leaf development. However, the protein content in the BL-grown leaf was always higher than in the RL-grown leaf of the same age.
